Faire FAQs

Can I wear my garb to the faire?

Absolutely! We love to interact with people who are into the ren faire experience as much as we are. Costumes do not have to be for a particular period of time. They can be historical or fantasy.

What is your weapons policy?

If you plan to bring real or metal weapons (such as swords, daggers, axes), they must be peace-tied. This is for the safety of all attendees. We will have peace tying enforcers to check your weaponry upon entry. Bows are fine, but please leave your real arrows at home. Foam and wood prop weapons are fine. Weapons purchased at the Faire need to be peace-tied or remain in their package.

Is the Faire family friendly?

Yes! We strive to provide a fun family-friendly atmosphere for all to enjoy.

What happens in case of inclement weather?

Snake River Renaissance Faire is open rain or shine. Some performances may be delayed or canceled due to dangerous performing conditions.

Can I smoke or vape?

No. We are a non-smoking venue. If you find it necessary to smoke or vape, feel free to head out to the parking area.

Can I bring my own food?

Our food vendors offer a variety of foods (some period and some more modern). Guests may carry in beverages and small snack items.

Can I bring my pets?

No pets are not allowed within the faire except trained service animals. This is for the safety and comfort of all faire guests and staff.

Is the faire handicap accessible?

We try our best to make the faire accessible to everyone. There is handicap parking right by the front entrance.

If I bring a large group of patrons, can we get a discount?

If you have a group bigger than 25 please contact us.

Do the merchants accept credit cards?

Yes, most of our merchants accept credit cards. We encourage you to bring cash for those merchants and games that do not accept credit cards.

Should I buy my admission tickets in advance?

Absolutely! Buying your tickets online in advance will speed up your entrance experience. Just have your receipt (electronic or printed) ready at the gate.  Special event tickets such as our Royal Feast are available online and sell out quickly, so buy yours today!  Plus, there are no extra fees for purchasing your tickets online.  Tickets cost the same online as they do at the gate!

Do you offer military/Veteran/First Responder discounts?

Yes!  Law enforcement officers, firefighters, active duty and reserve military service members, and veterans are admitted free of charge (does not include Royal Feast).  Proper ID must be shown at the ticket gate.  For other members of your party, regular admission rates apply.

If I leave the faire, can I get back in?

As long as you are wearing your wristband/handstamp, you are allowed back in to the faire for that day/weekend (depending on the type of pass).

Where is the lost and found?

Anything that is turned in can be found at the information tent near the front gate during the faire. Otherwise, contact us to collect any missing items that were turned in.

I love renaissance faires and would like to get involved. How do I get involved?

Most if not all of the faire is operated by volunteers. If you are interested in joining our volunteer team please check out our general volunteer opportunities or our volunteer cast opportunities.

I have an act, and I would like to perform at the faire, who do I contact?

If you are a Renaissance Faire performer and would like to either volunteer or be hired by the Faire, please contact the Entertainment Director.  We are always looking for new and interesting entertainment that is appropriate to the period.

I love the Faire and I would love to make a donation or sponsor an event at the Faire.  Who do I contact?

Contact the Faire President.  We do not have any limits on donations and/or sponsorships.  Every little bit helps us bring the finest entertainment to you.  We have tried our best to keep the prices down to make the Faire affordable to everyone.
